CAT Exam Pattern 2017, CAT 2017 Pattern Change

CAT 2017 Exam Pattern: CAT 2017 Exam Pattern is coming up with many changes. The following are some of the changes that have been introduced this year for the CAT 2017 exam:

•    Duration of the CAT 2017 examination has been increased to 170 minutes from the current duration of 140 minutes, an increase of half an hour.
•    All questions are multiple choice based and objective type with one among 4 given options to be answered.
•    Questions in each section, Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation, Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning have been increased from 30 to 50 questions in each section.
•    Candidates can devote as much time to any section according to their ability and will.
•    In the CAT 2017 Exam Pattern, switching from one section to another section has been made possible.
•    Candidates are advised to brush up with the tutorials, from the CAT website to fully understand the format of the CAT examination.
•    As it is a computer based exam, aspirants appearing in the CAT 2017 exam are not connected to internet.
•    TCS has bagged the contract to develop and conduct the test for the next 5 years, so you can guess that CAT 2017 Exam Pattern format would be technically strong.
•    For CAT 2017 Scores, each correct answer in CAT 2017 exam will be given 3 marks and for each wrong answer, 1 mark would be deducted. So be prepared as negative marking is applicable to the CAT scores. As it is not mandatory to attempt all questions, no marks would be deducted for the unanswered questions.
•    One of the CAT 2017 Exam Pattern major change is reduction in the test window dates.Previously, there was a 20 day test window but CAT 2017 exam would be held in  a single day i.e on November, 26, 2017.
•    Number of test cities has been increased from 45 to 99 test cities in the CAT 2017 exam pattern changes.
