CAT Result 2017, CAT 2017 Result Date
Common Admission Test (CAT) results 2017 would be announced in the second week of January 2018. Candidates can check the CAT result, cut-off and score card on the official CAT website-iimcat.ac.in. Candidates qualifying the CAT 2017 exam, conducted by Indian Institute of Management (IIM) would be called for interview and subsequent selection process for admissions in business administrative programs in various IIMs of the country.
CAT 2017 score card
Each IIM has a separate cut-off and percentile and short-listing criterion for the CAT 2017 exam. Candidates would be short listed on the basis of CAT scores, academic performance and work experience. Candidates qualifying the CAT 2017 exam will be directly contacted by each IIMs and will send interview letters to the shortlisted candidates. During the CAT 2017 Personal Interview, a candidate can be asked to write a short passage or essay in 30-minutes duration that could vary from Current Affairs to political or socio-economic issues.
The CAT 2017 weightage for selection process is as follows:
CAT 2017 score: 20%
Class 10th Marks: 15%
Class 12th Marks: 10%
Graduation: 15%

Candidates can take printouts of the CAT 2017 Score Card where one can find the scores and percentiles in both the sections, as well as overall score and CAT 2017 percentage. As no hard copy of the CAT scorecard will be sent to the candidates, this CAT 2017 scorecard is the only confirmation and proof of passing the CAT 2017 results.
After the announcement of CAT 2017 Result, as per candidate's CAT 2017 cut off and admission process, 13 IIMs will announce the names of shortlisted candidates who have to appear for Group Discussion/Written Ability Test and Personal Interview rounds. The total number of seats offered by IIMs is 3,335. IIM Trichy conducted the CAP round in 2013, the Common Admission Process (CAP) is followed by 6 new IIMs, IIM Ranchi, Raipur, Rohtak, Trichy, Udaipur and Kashipur. Business schools and participating institutes (which accepts CAT 2017 scores) conduct GD, PI and or WAT rounds for the CAT 2017 admission process.
